So how do we do this? Here are our top 3 tips for making the most of your workout…
1. Be organised
If you go to the gym first thing in the morning, lay out all your gear the night before. That way, when your alarm sounds, you can hop out of bed and straight into your workout clothes, ready to hit the gym in under 10 minutes. If you like to do your workout at the end of the day, pack your bag in the morning and take it to work with you or leave it in the car. As soon as your working day is done, you’re ready to leap into your gym session or class.
2. Have a plan
Failing to plan is planning to fail. Think about your workouts for the week ahead and plan what you will do and the areas of the body you will target for each workout. Before you set foot in the gym, you should have a clear idea of what your workout will look like to maximise your time. 3. Limit distractions
We are more connected than ever before – but we don’t need to be contactable while exercising. Turn off your notifications on your phone so you won’t have little messages popping up, distracting you from your workout. Limit your conversations if you’re working out with friends. You’ll save time, you won’t annoy anyone waiting to use the equipment after you and you can reward yourself by enjoying quality time after your workout with your friends.
